With its origins dating back to 1887, Dublin Institute of Technology has a long tradition of providing education to the highest levels and is renowned for the applied nature of its teaching and learning.
A publicly-funded Institution, DIT is a member of the European University Association and offers an extensive range of undergraduate programmes at Bachelor Degree levels and postgraduate programmes at Taught Masters, Research Masters and Research PhD Degree levels.

Something for everyone


With over 300 different programmes across its six faculties DIT has something for everyone. DIT offers a diverse range of specialised programmes, in some cases programmes unique to DIT or the Institute is one of a small number of providers.
For example DIT is the sole provider in Ireland of programmes in Optometry, Human Nutrition & Dietetics, Clinical Measurement and Geomatics and the sole provider in Ireland of degrees in Tourism Marketing, Transport and Logistics, Photography and Environmental Health. DIT also offers the only degree on Culinary Arts in Europe
