University of Limerick: Study Abroad
UL has been receiving US Study Abroad students for almost 20 years. Visiting students are fully integrated into the student body, following the same lectures, seminars, tutorials and taking the same assessments as Irish students. Although Study Abroad students are treated like Irish students they have one special advantage, namely a greater freedom of choice in selecting their programme of study. Students may choose from an extensive range of modules (classes/courses) in all years and may register across faculties, departments and disciplines. The Study Abroad Office organise an extensive Orientation Programme at the start of each semester for new students, a Re-entry Programme for departing students and Field Trips.
