The Marino Institute of Education comprises the college of education, Colaiste Mhuire Marino, a college offering the Bachelor of Education degree and other programmes in association with the University of Dublin, Trinity College , and other departments providing inservice and support services to schools and new initiatives for non-traditional learners. On-going research enhance the various projects through integrated research and development programmes. International Summer School in Irish Studies
Building on the success of its semester abroad partnership with Iona College and in response to international student demand, Marino now intends to offer an International Summer School in Irish Studies for up to fifty students. The programme will commence in May 2011 and offer six academic credits. Faculty drawn down from Marino and special guests will provide lectures and participate in the two major excursions and group projects. The assessment process will include portfolio work, oral presentations, assignments and performance. Accreditation will be offered by Iona College.
