Olga Gretsina from Estonia is a final year student in the Bachelor of Business Studies programme in Shannon College of Hotel Management. Olga initially decided to come to study in Ireland as she had heard much of the friendly Irish people and felt that for an education in hotels and hospitality, it was important to study in a country renowned for being welcoming and hospitable. Olga can’t find the words to define her experiences of Ireland; “you can’t describe the experience of studying in Ireland, you have to experience it to fully understand it! In fact, you have to be part of the Shannon College family to fully understand it!” Olga has enjoyed her last three years of hotel management studies especially having spent 12 months working in the Park Hotel Kenmare for her Year 2 internship; “I particularly enjoy this business and the challenges that go along with it. Working in hotel management is an opportunity to see the actual results of my work, which means I get to see satisfied customers and a dynamic work environment for my colleagues.”
